The Tri-West Hendricks Bruins had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They snuck past West Lafayette with a 56-51 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tri-West Hendricks also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Tri-West Hendricks' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wes Ward, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Robertson, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds.
Tri-West Hendricks' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for West Lafayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Benton Central the next time they take the court. West Lafayette will head out to face Benton Central at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, while Tri-West Hendricks will head out to face them at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
