Fort Payne is 10-0 against Etowah since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fort Payne Wildcats have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Etowah Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Fort Payne didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Oxford, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win.
Meanwhile, Etowah earned a 40-33 win over Westbrook Christian on Monday. The victory was just what Etowah needed coming off of a 58-22 loss in their prior matchup.
Fort Payne pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of four points across that stretch. As for Etowah, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Everything came up roses for Fort Payne against Etowah when the teams last played back in November as the squad secured a 58-26 win. Will Fort Payne repeat their success, or does Etowah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
