NCSSM: Morganton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bransen Pittman, who went 7-for-10 en route to 17 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The game was Pittman's third in a row with at least 17 points. Nate Gutschall was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
NCSSM: Morganton now has a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will square off against Pinnacle Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for NCSSM: Morganton, they will venture away from home to face off against Cherryville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
