The Brownfield Cubs lost against the Littlefield Wildcats back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The matchup between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Brownfield falling 56-41. They have struggled against Littlefield recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Brownfield saw an underclassman step up: Alliey Coffey scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amery Pauda, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Brownfield's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Littlefield, they pushed their record up to 19-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Lamesa the next time they take the court. Brownfield will host Lamesa at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Littlefield will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
