Deer Valley had to settle for second on Thursday, but Rosalyn Zermeno sure wasn't going down easily. Zermeno wasn't messing around, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The matchup was also her third straight with at least one stolen base.

Zermeno and Deer Valley will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Miramonte at 4:30 p.m. on April 14th. The Wolverines had to take a loss when they last met the Matadors, but Zermeno had little to do with the loss: she went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
