Covenant Christian pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Deshler. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (60), Covenant Christian still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Central came up short against Lawrence County on Thursday and fell 64-53.
Covenant Christian's loss ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-5. As for Central, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
