Volleyball Recap: Wooster Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Wooster can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Sparks Railroaders. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Colts yet this season.

While Wooster won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 25-16.

London Lee paced Wooster's offense, picking up four kills. Lee got some help from Maddie Crews and her 11 assists. Lee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Wooster's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-9. As for Sparks, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wooster will host North Valleys at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. After both having extra time off, Sparks and Truckee will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
