Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gilmour Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the John Marshall Lawyers 48-18. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Lawyers are ranked 564th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gilmour Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for John Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilmour Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cleveland Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for John Marshall, they will face off against Glenville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
