On Friday DeKalb take on North Nodaway/West Nodaway at 7:00 PM. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with three consecutive losses for DeKalb and five for North Nodaway/West Nodaway.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 36-82, which was the final score in DeKalb's tilt against South Holt/Nodaway-Holt last Friday. DeKalb's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Coyote Henderson, who picked up 136 yards on the ground and caught passes for 97 yards.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: North Nodaway/West Nodaway lost to Mound City/Craig, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-46. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
