The Plateau Valley Cowboys stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Caprock Academy at home to the tune of 59-24. With Plateau Valley ahead 41-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plateau Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emaline Ealey, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Ealey is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Meloni Miller, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Plateau Valley pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Caprock Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plateau Valley the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Vail Christian at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. Vail Christian has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Caprock Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against De Beque at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully De Beque focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Friday.
