Roosevelt is 1-7 against Seattle Prep since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Roosevelt Roughriders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seattle Prep Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Roosevelt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
Last Friday, Roosevelt was the victim of a tough 72-51 loss at the hands of Garfield. Roosevelt has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Roosevelt saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Emma Curtis, who scored 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Giselle Dollar, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Seattle Prep beat Eastside Catholic 48-44 on Friday.
Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Seattle Prep, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Roosevelt came up short against Seattle Prep in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 53-49. Can Roosevelt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
