The Lyford Bulldogs were the 56-54 winner over IDEA Frontier College Prep when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Lyford wound up with the same score they had in their last game (57-51), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
It was another big night for Victor Mendez, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds for IDEA Frontier College Prep. The game was Mendez's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ivan Garcia, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Lyford bumped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for IDEA Frontier College Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyford will be home for the holidays to greet Santa Rosa at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. IDEA Frontier College Prep will be home for the holidays to greet IDEA Riverview at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
