Central will challenge Excelsior Springs on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Central are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
Central took care of business in their home opener. They walked away with a 32-22.
Meanwhile, Excelsior Springs was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They blew past Benton 35-7. The Excelsior Springs offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the matchup anyway.
Their wins bumped Central to 1-0 and Excelsior Springs to 2-0. We'll see which team can carry over they success and which team inevitably falls when Central and Excelsior Springs clash.
