The Bigelow Panthers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the East Poinsett County Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Bigelow knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully East Poinsett County likes a good challenge.
Bigelow had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past Marked Tree with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 36-20.
Meanwhile, East Poinsett County had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.2 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They secured a 26-21 W over Carlisle.
Dennis Gaines was his usual excellent self, rushing for 191 yards and four touchdowns. Gaines has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last nine times he's played.
Their wins bumped Bigelow to 13-0 and Marked Tree to 10-3.
