Keys Gate had won two straight games and Essence Deleon did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 victory over the Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions thanks in part to Deleon, who dropped a triple-double with 18 points, ten boards, and ten assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season.

Immaculata-La Salle's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabella Aversa, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 14 points and seven assists. Aversa also put up a block, which was her first of the season. Ana Villarreal was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 18 rebounds.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-3. As for Immaculata-La Salle, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Keys Gate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-50 defeat against Martin County on the 19th. As for Immaculata-La Salle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-45 loss against South Dade on the 17th.
