The Elmwood Royals had to endure  a  seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Otsego 46-32  on Monday. That 14 point margin sets a new team best for Elmwood this season.
 Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Jocelyn Cornell, who  scored 11 points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals. Cornell has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last seven times she's  played.
 Otsego  struggled to get the ball back on offense and  finished the game with only four  offensive rebounds. They are  winless (0-4) when  they can't control their own glass like that.
 Elmwood's win  ended a four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 2-14. As for Otsego, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with that  loss, which was their 11th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Elmwood will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Otsego, they will head out on the road to  take on  the Eagles at 7:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
