The Choctawhatchee Indians will face off against the Spencer County Bears at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Choctawhatchee sitting on eight straight victories and Spencer County on five.
Choctawhatchee's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Ohio County with a sharp 15-0 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Garret Meggs looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Choctawhatchee got a massive performance out of Carter Marracco, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave Marracco a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Marracco, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Choctawhatchee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Spencer County narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Reavis 1-0. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by just one run.
The result came thanks to Michael Robinette's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Spencer County secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Eli Dockery, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Choctawhatchee's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Spencer County, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Choctawhatchee has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Spencer County struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits.
