There's no place like home for the Lakewood Christian Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They managed a 73-69 win over Mingo Valley Christian on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Mingo Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Isaiah McLemore, who scored 34 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 49.3% of Mingo Valley Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Harrison Chatham, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lakewood Christian pushed their record up to 21-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for Mingo Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Lakewood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mingo Valley Christian will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
