Seaside is 0-8-2 against North Salinas since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Seaside Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the North Salinas Vikings at 3:30 p.m. Seaside's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Tuesday, Seaside had just enough and edged Greenfield out 2-1. That's two games straight that Seaside has won by exactly one goal.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
David Garcia and
Haziel Vazquez, who scored both of Seaside's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 21 so far this season.
Meanwhile, North Salinas' game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hollister and snuck past 2-1.
Seaside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-3-6 record this season. As for North Salinas, the win got them back to even at 6-6-3.
