Despite the loss, Midlothian still got an impressive performance from Alex Gilmore, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Gilmore is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Case Garcia, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Midlothian's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Wylie East, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midlothian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Burleson at 1:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Burleson is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Wylie East, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeview Centennial at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview Centennial has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-3 during that stretch of close contests.
