The Kellogg Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat St. Maries 64-36 on the road. Kellogg has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Emily Coe, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Jerome, who scored 16 points along with six assists and three steals.
Despite the loss, St. Maries saw an underclassman step up: Raevyn Yearout scored eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Kellogg's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for St. Maries, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
Coincidentally, Kellogg and the Lumberjacks will both be playing the Spartans the next time they take the court. St. Maries will head out to face Priest River at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Kellogg will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
