After soaring to 55 points the game before, the Carolina Friends Quakers were a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, falling 85-23. Carolina Friends was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Kyren Smith, who scored 41 points along with seven assists and three steals for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill. The contest was Smith's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Powery, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Carolina Friends' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing St. Thomas More Academy the next time they take the court. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill will head out to face St. Thomas More Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Carolina Friends will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
