Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy entered their tilt with Temple Christian on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the Temple Christian Crusaders for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-34 win. The Ospreys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 28 points or more this season.

Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy was led to victory by Isaiah Keep and Josh Bisnett. Keep almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards, while Bisnett posted 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Alex Crowl was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Temple Christian still got an impressive performance from Silas Walker, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Cash, who put up eight points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Temple Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Faith Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Temple Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-53 victory against Grace Christian on the 20th.
