Basketball Recap: Eastwood Extends Winning Streak to Three

Eastwood extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Devin Falk-Ramirez. The Eastwood Troopers came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 51-47 W against the Eastlake Falcons thanks in part to Falk-Ramirez, who went 7-for-9 to rack up 20 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Eastwood's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Mora, who posted four points. What's more, he also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Eastlake still got an impressive performance from Braeden Quigley, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Anderson-Edmond, who scored 11 points.

Eastwood's win bumped their record up to 25-6. As for Eastlake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-9.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Eastwood will challenge San Angelo Central at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastlake, they will square off against Odessa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
