Volleyball Recap: Memorial Has No Trouble Against Waterloo

Memorial won the last time they faced Waterloo and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Memorial never let Waterloo on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-10, 27-25.

Jada Smith paced Memorial's offense, picking up 15 kills. Smith got some help from Da'Janelle Will and her 25 assists. Smith also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Elysia Rudolphi, racking up eight apiece.

Memorial's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Waterloo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Memorial will challenge rival Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Waterloo is set to face off against their familiar foe Western Reserve at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
