Bradenton Christian is 9-1 against the Sharks since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Bradenton Christian Panthers will be playing at home against the Imagine School at North Port Sharks at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Bradenton Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
Last Friday, Bradenton Christian didn't have too much trouble with the Ascenders at home as they won 60-42. Given Bradenton Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Ascenders are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Imagine School at North Port waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Parrish Community by a score of 61-54.
Imagine School at North Port's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Angelo Blas led the charge by scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Blas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jj Hall, who scored 14 points.
Bradenton Christian's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Imagine School at North Port, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Everything went Bradenton Christian's way against the Sharks in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the Panthers made off with a 81-57 victory. Does Bradenton Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sharks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
