Softball Recap: Shenandoah Extends Winning Streak to Six

Shenandoah had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Eastern Hancock Royals with a sharp 12-2 victory. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by ten runs or more this season.

Gabrielle Patrick was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Schwagmeier, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Shenandoah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastern Hancock only posted an OBP of .333.

Shenandoah pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Eastern Hancock, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 11-11.

Coming up, Shenandoah will be playing at home against Wes-Del at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Eastern Hancock, they will face off against Christel House at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
