The McBee Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 62-47 to North Central. McBee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
McBee's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darrell Harper, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Griggs, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, McBee were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
McBee's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Central, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Central the next time they take the court. North Central will host Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while McBee will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
