There's no place like home for Notus, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Gem State Adventist Academy Jaguars on Tuesday as the Notus Pirates made off with a 72-50 victory. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Luis Vargas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8-for-15 to rack up 22 points along with five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrick Huter, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 11 points.

Gem State Adventist Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Grimaldo, who posted 11 points. Jakob Evenson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Notus' record now sits at 12-7. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Notus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-45 loss against Council on the 12th. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-31 defeat against Riverstone International on the 12th.
