Franklin Road Christian found their leader in underclassman Bryleigh Dempsey, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Dempsey is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Tidwell, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.
Franklin Classical School has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 0-4 record. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Boyd Christian, Franklin Road Christian, and Franklin Road Christian. As for Franklin Road Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Classical School will take on Boyd Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Road Christian is on the road again on Saturday and play against Tennessee Heat at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Tennessee Heat will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Franklin Road Christian is ranked 85th).
