The Crisp Academy Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. The matchup between them and Byne Christian wasn't particularly close, with Crisp Academy falling 52-34. Crisp Academy has not had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Crisp Academy saw an underclassman step up: Reese Reed scored 12 points. Brody Ashton was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Crisp Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Byne Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-11.
Crisp Academy will head out on the road to take on the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Byne Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th.
