The Tuscarora Titans were the 60-59 winner over the Urbana Hawks when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Tuscarora was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 66-65 to Urbana. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Thursday (60), Tuscarora still had to take the loss.
Urbana's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christian Whitehead, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Mason Johnson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Tuscarora's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Urbana, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tuscarora will be home for the holidays to greet Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Urbana will be home for the holidays to greet North Hagerstown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Hagerstown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
