Los Osos is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. After each having a week off, they and the Claremont Wolfpack will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Los Osos turned things around against Sultana last Friday. They strolled past the Sultans with points to spare, taking the game 31-12.

Jack Abbott
09/19/25 @ Sultana | 108 |
09/05/25 vs Orange | 92 |
08/21/25 vs Narbonne | 73 |
09/12/25 @ Serrano | 69 |
11/01/24 @ Claremont | 65 |
Los Osos' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Abbott, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 108 receiving yards gave Abbott a new career-high. Another signal caller making a difference was Isaiah Guerrero, who threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns.
Los Osos didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Sultana to a completion percentage of just 47.1%. The team can thank Aaven Bishop for the heroic effort on defense: he. Los Osos wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 55.6%.
Los Osos didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jacob Castro, Jaxon Bailey, Isaiah Stewart, and Drew Gaither picked up one apiece. Bailey got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Claremont). They blew past La Salle 56-7 last Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-7.
Los Osos better focus on containing Brandon Coronado and Tai Thompson as the pair were huge in Claremont's win. Coronado threw for 238 yards and four TDs on only 17 passes, while Thompson gained 146 total yards and four touchdowns. A healthy portion of Coronado's aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Max Leeper, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Claremont, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Everything came up roses for Los Osos against Claremont in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-0 victory. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Wolfpack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
