The Chazy Eagles had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against Seton Catholic Central by a score of 42-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chazy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Chazy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Howell out in front who scored 13 points. Kassidy Turek was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabriella Conti, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Conti has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Trombley, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Chazy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Seton Catholic Central, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Chazy will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crown Point will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 644th, while the Eagles are ranked 269th). As for Seton Catholic Central, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Patriots at 10:00 a.m.
