Wesleyan Christian can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Bluejacket 51-11 on the road. Given Wesleyan Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Chieftains are ranked 502nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Mingo Valley Christian strolled past the with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 60-46.
Mingo Valley Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah McLemore, who went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 1 assist. McLemore is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Matthew Clary, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Wesleyan Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Mingo Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
Wesleyan Christian beat the Eagles 77-65 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Mingo Valley Christian's Isaiah Parham, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
