Jacob Moore Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Terry Sanford's Jacob Moore, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Moore rushed for 129 yards on only nine carries, and also threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (103.5).
The victory was the third in a row for Terry Sanford, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Moore and Terry Sanford will challenge Harnett Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jordan Bryant Turns in Season-Best Performance
Jordan Bryant produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Overhills to the win on Friday. Bryant threw for 230 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 13-for-13 passing, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He has become a key player for Overhills: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Unfortunately for Western Harnett, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Bryant. When Bryant last faced the Eagles back in September of 2023, he threw for 198 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Another Game with at Least Six Total Tackles from Justice Clifton
Justice Clifton produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Terry Sanford to the win on Thursday. Clifton wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks, forcing a fumble, and making ten total tackles (4.0 for loss). The matchup was his fifth straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.
For the season, Clifton has averaged 6.8 total tackles per game and for the season has 6 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had one sack.

Pine Forest had to settle for second on Thursday, but Latrell Carter sure wasn't going down easily. Carter made a major impact, rushing for 149 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (105.8) per game.
The defeat snapped Pine Forest's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. Carter and Pine Forest will look to defend their home field on Friday against E.E. Smith at 7:30 p.m.

Marquis James Delivers Best Effort of Season
Marquis James produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Overhills to the win on Friday. James wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 15 total tackles (3.0 for loss). The matchup was his 11th straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
On the season, James has averaged 9.2 total tackles per game and for the season has those 1 sack.
