Briar Woods waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Loudoun County Captains with a sharp 10-1 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by nine runs or more this season.

Briar Woods' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Loudoun County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Briar Woods will challenge Woodgrove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Loudoun County, they will head out to square off against Dominion at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
