The Carroll Eagles won the last time they faced the Andalusia Bulldogs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Carroll came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs and snuck past 44-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Carroll.
Carroll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Culver led the charge by scoring 13 points along with two steals and two blocks. Culver is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Pruitt, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Carroll has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Andalusia, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will take on the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ashford has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14. As for Andalusia, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Alabama (Florala is ranked 134th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 127th).
