 On the hitting side,  Sam Roeder was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Carmel faced Zionsville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Carmel lost  7-0 to Zionsville. Carmel just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
 Roncalli has  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 12 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record  this season. As for Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
