The Edgewood Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Talawanda 68-30 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Edgewood has managed all season.
Edgewood was led to victory by Maddy Judd and Rylie Homan. Judd scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Homan scored 23 points along with seven assists and three steals. Homan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Swartzel, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Edgewood is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Talawanda, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
