It was a close one, but last Friday Ithaca sidestepped De Soto for a 25-22 win. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
After a string of three wins, Royall's good fortune finally ran out. They took a 20-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brookwood.
Royall's defeat took them down to 4-4 while Ithaca's victory pulled them up to 6-3. We'll see if Royall can steal Ithaca's luck or if Ithaca records another victory instead.
