Caden Horay was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five assists and three steals. William Moore was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
West Johnston's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8. As for Smithfield-Selma, they bumped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
West Johnston will be playing in front of their home fans against C.B. Aycock at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. C.B.
