Mead's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Boys Town Cowboys by a score of 2-0. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cowboys, too.

Stella Charles paced Mead's offense, picking up six kills. Charles got some help from Hadley Havelka and her 14 assists. Havelka was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Mead moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Boys Town, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coincidentally, Mead and Boys Town will both be playing Lourdes Central Catholic the next time they take the court. The Cowboys will head out to face the Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
