The Medomak Valley Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Oceanside Mariners at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Saturday, Medomak Valley got themselves on the board against Belfast, but Belfast never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 36-0 win over the Lions at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Medomak Valley.
Meanwhile, Oceanside put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They were the clear victor by a 60-40 margin over York. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Cohen Galley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 122 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 386 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 16.1 yards per attempt. Zeb Foster also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Medomak Valley has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in seven of their first eight matches, giving them a 7-1 record. As for Oceanside, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-0.
Medomak Valley skirted past Oceanside 35-32 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Medomak Valley since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
