Dante Gentile Dazzles in Springfield Win
Starting off the list is Springfield's Dante Gentile, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Gentile rushed for 232 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 115 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Geno Perry's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his sixth-straight game with 109+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 192 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 67 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Perry and Lowellville will face off against Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Vikings, probably because Perry had a solid game then too: he rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Darney Came Up Big in Western Reserve's 42-16 Victory
Western Reserve found a leader in Jack Darney as the team took down Waterloo on Friday. Nobody could stop Darney as he rushed for 144 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.
If the past is any indication, Darney could be in store for another big game when he takes on Mineral Ridge on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Darney saw the Rams), he rushed for 138 yards while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 51 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Ricky Willrich Delivers Best Effort of Season
Lowellville was led to victory by Ricky Willrich, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Willrich threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes.
For the year, Willrich has thrown 18 touchdowns while averaging 186 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 7.63 passing yards per game.
