On Saturday, Maywood CES lost to Hawkins on the road by a decisive 49-35 margin.
Hawkins was led to victory by De'Meiko Crawford and Robert Stewart. Crawford scored 11 points, while Stewart scored 14 points.
Maywood CES has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Hawkins, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maywood CES will square off against Torres at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Torres has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. Hawkins on the road again on Monday and play against Harbor Teacher at 4:30 p.m. on January 29th. Harbor Teacher is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
