Tri-Valley is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Meadowbrook is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Scotties will welcome the Colts at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Tri-Valley will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating John Glenn, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Scotties came out on top in a nail-biter against the Little Muskies on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-3. That's two games straight that the Scotties have won by exactly two runs.

Paiton Murphy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Larsyn Holdsworth and Ally Peterson did most of the damage at the plate: Holdsworth went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Peterson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. That's the most hits Peterson has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, Meadowbrook posted their closest win since April 1st on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Crooksville 3-2. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Ceramics recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Addy Wiggins was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Tri-Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Meadowbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tri-Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like Meadowbrook struggles in that department as they've averaged .364. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tri-Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Meadowbrook when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. Do the Scotties have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
