Baseball Recap: West Mecklenburg Has No Trouble Against Chambers

West Mecklenburg not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st (when they won 14-1). They put the hurt on the Chambers Cougars with a sharp 15-4 win. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by 11 runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Anthony Echevarria, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Godeson Hakim was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

West Mecklenburg's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Chambers, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

West Mecklenburg has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Garinger on the 14th. As for Chambers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.58 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
