Hilliard Bradley is 1-9 against Hilliard Davidson since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Jaguars will square off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hilliard Bradley took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against Upper Arlington, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Jaguars narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Golden Bears 2-1.
Sam Wendel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

At the plate, Keaton Bowers was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Hilliard Davidson hadn't done well against Olentangy Orange recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 7-3.
Connor McHenry looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Reynaldo Pelaez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Mitchell Davis also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Hilliard Bradley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hilliard Davidson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Hilliard Davidson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hilliard Bradley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. It's a different story for Hilliard Davidson, though, as they've only averaged .218. Will they be able to contain Hilliard Bradley's hitters?
