Basketball Recap: Dobyns-Bennett Skates Past South Greene with Ease

Dobyns-Bennett lost to South Greene back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Dobyns-Bennett Indians took their matchup with ease, bagging a 76-41 win over the South Greene Rebels. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brant Wilhoit, who posted four points. What's more, Wilhoit also posted two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Micah Shelton was another key player, putting up three points.

Dobyns-Bennett is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for South Greene, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-7.

Dobyns-Bennett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-55 defeat against West Ridge on the 14th. As for South Greene, they have also already played their next contest, a 52-48 loss against North Greene on the 11th.
